Tackling Therapeutic Resistance in Cancer

More than 229,000 Canadians are newly diagnosed with cancer every year. Cancer is caused by accumulation of genetic alterations, such as mutations, that lead to the uncontrolled proliferation of cells. The Mitogen Activate Protein Kinase (MAPK) pathway is frequently mutated in cancer. The overarching goal of our research is to develop new, and more effective precision medicine strategies for cancers with oncogenic MAPK pathway mutations.
